Tracking the running balance of releases against dozens or hundreds of active blanket POs manually is tedious and typically only gets attention when a release fails due to insufficient balance
This agent continuously tracks release activity against every active blanket PO's committed value and expiration date, projecting when each will be exhausted or expire based on current consumption pace, and proactively alerts category managers and buyers with enough lead time to renegotiate or extend before a purchasing gap or wasted commitment occurs
The agent runs on a continuous schedule, pulling active blanket purchase order records including committed value, consumed balance, expiration date, and release history from the ERP or P2P system. It calculates current consumption pace per blanket PO and projects the date the committed balance will be exhausted or the expiration date will be reached, using LLM-based analysis to draft a plain-language status summary and recommendation for each blanket PO approaching a threshold. Alerts are generated and routed to the assigned category manager or buyer with enough lead time, based on configurable thresholds, to take renewal or extension action before a gap occurs.
